Supporting and enhancing the Massachusetts manufacturing industry.
The Advanced Manufacturing Training Grant (AMTG) program, administered by the Center for Advanced Manufacturing (CAM) at MassTech, supports workforce training initiatives that address the evolving skill needs of Massachusetts manufacturers. The program is designed to strengthen the state’s manufacturing workforce by funding partnerships between training providers and employers to deliver industry-relevant training programs.
AMTG-funded programs equip individuals with the technical and professional skills needed to succeed in advanced manufacturing careers including roles in machining, welding, fabrication, production and related fields. Training is developed in close collaboration with employers to ensure alignment with current workforce demands and to create direct pathways to employment.
The program prioritizes serving unemployed, underemployed and underrepresented populations helping to expand access to high-quality career opportunities while building a more diverse and inclusive manufacturing workforce. AMTG also supports incumbent worker training to help companies upskill their existing workforce and remain competitive.
Through AMTG, CAM invests in scalable, high-impact training programs that drive job placement, career advancement, and long-term workforce development across the Commonwealth’s advanced manufacturing sector.
