In September, the Manufacturing USA program released their 2018 Annual Report, titled “Manufacturing USA Annual Report: Delivering Value for the Nation.”
In the report, two M2I2-supported projects are highlighted:
- On page 26: The collaborative project led by Franklin, Mass.-based Carpe Diem Technologies is profiled, highlighting support from the federal NextFlex Institute and the $2.15 million dollar M2I2 grant the company received in July 2018; and
- On page 65: The national ARM Institute’s TeachBot program, a collaboration led by MIT with partners like MassRobotics in Boston, is highlighted. TeachBot was one of seven recipients awarded M2I2 grant during an event with Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker in October 2017. A Teachbot system is currently on loan to the ARM Institute, prominently displayed in their new headquarters building in Pittsburgh.
